Recently, Dhanush bought land worth Rs 25 crore in Poes Garden, to build a new abode for his family. The land is close to the house of superstar Rajinikanth. With this investment, he has also become one of the Poes garden celebrities. Poes Garden is one of the most posh localities in Chennai and is home to some of the well-known and famous personalities in Chennai, including the late chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa’s home.

Dhanush performed the Bhoomi puja for his newly-bought Poes Garden land in February 2021. Superstar Rajinikanth along with his wife Latha was spotted at the ceremony, along with Dhanush and Aishwarya. Dhanush was staying with his family at the Alwarpet home until the completion of the mega bungalow in Poes Garden, right near the house of Rajinikanth. Dhanush reportedly wanted to shift residence for the sole reason of convenience. During days when he was not shooting, Rajinikanth used to take Linga and Yatra, his grandchildren, from their school and drop them at Alwarpet. Crowds would assemble to get a glimpse of the popular star and this prompted him to take the decision to build his own dream home. Dhanush purchased land just opposite the legend’s own house and construction going on in full swing. The actor has reportedly spent a massive sum of Rs 150 crore to build his dream home. Dhanush house at Poes Garden is spread over 19,000 sq ft and covers four stories.

The actor recently completed the shooting and dubbing for his upcoming movie, Karnan.
